We're coming to the end of our school year. I hope you had fun in Music Class. I enjoyed getting to know all of you and having a great time singing, playing instruments, playing musical games and dances. I hope you have a wonderful summer. It's too bad we haven't seen each other for the last two and half months.
If you've read Ms. Panczyk's letter from a few weeks ago, you know that I am retiring from teaching. I still will be the Parish Music Director. I enjoyed all my 33 years at St. Constance School. I will miss teaching and being a part of the St Constance School Family.
This week, you will complete any assignments that you have not done yet and send to me.
Most of them were "Peter and the Wolf activities.

It's a very lively song that will make you want to dance.
We will then continue with the Peter and the Wolf story listening to the 4 instruments of the String Family,

2019 - 2020 School Year
CURRICULUM
"MUSICPLAY" is a standards based curriculum with songs and activities that students love. Musicplay includes seasonal songs, fun songs, folk music, and multicultural songs. In the Musicplay curriculum students sing, play instruments, move to music, listen, create and learn to read and write music. Important concepts are taught through play. Children love music games making this a program that will have your child really excited about learning music.
GOALS
- Sing in tune in unison
- Play a variety of instruments
- Improvise, arrange and compose with confidence
- Use simplified notation as a tool for learning and retaining new music
- Thoughtfully analyze and evaluate music in performance and listening
- Appreciate all musical styles and genres
